Happy Birthday Human!

Hello and Thank you so much for stopping by for our Blog Hop to celebrate the two new Stamp Sets here at gsd-stamps.com

I really had planned to make a Video for this Blog Hop, but I had sooooo many issues all week long that I ran out of time. But I swear - at some point I'll bug you with one. (wink, wink)

I created this little card Happy Birthday Human Card by creating the blue background with some Distress Inks on some Neenah White Cardstock. After that I decided to create the ground the aliens stand out simply by tearing off a piece of Kraftstock. If you take a close look you can see that it's not nicely cut or die cut. I really liked this look as it's suppose to represent the ground of an unknown planet, hehe. So I glued this Kraft Stock paper on the background before I die cut the whole thing with a stitched rectangle die.

I stamped the aliens and banner to colored them with Copic Markers before I fussy cut them. Going along the edges with a Tombow Marker helped to make the edges look nicer.

To stamp the Happy Birthday Human sentiment into the banner, I had to bend it slightly, which is an easy thing to do when you work with clear stamps.

In order to create the look that those silly aliens are holding the banner, I cut them slightly in their little alien hands, (oh my! that sounds so cruel!) and this way I could tug the little banner in.

I was using some fun foam to attach all the pieces on the card and I also used a C5 Copic Marker to create some shadows underneath the banner and the aliens. Now the card was almost done - I was only using the white Signo Pen to add some white dots for the stars and some tiny black dots to represents the sand in the ground.
