Hi there,..my name is  Gerda and I am the self-taught artist and business owner here at Gerda Steiner Designs.

Growing up as a quiet kid on a German farm, doodling and daydreaming were my peaceful escapes!

I still remember the excited feeling when I would pedal on my bike to our craft store in town, (the smallest craft store you can imagine), to get the supplies for my next creative endeavor. 

Being surrounded by so many animals, dogs, cats, chicken, ducks etc. the inspiration was always there but in the end it was my mom who taught me that just a simple note with a little doodle can light up someones day. Maybe that's why I've always loved the Greeting Cards in the stores, especially the funny ones. 

I really hope that my creations put a smile on your face.  Creating cards is wonderful way to connect with yourself and especially with the important people in your life.
