Fun DIY Pigeon Card -Stay “coo” in the city

Hi, I’m Debbie Throckmorton, and I’m honored to be a guest designer for a new GDS release called Skyline. This set doesn’t feature any of the cute and whimsical characters we are used to from GDS, BUT the cityscape and the brick wall provide the perfect backdrop for those characters. And what better characters to feature in a city skyline, but the GDS Pigeons stamp set.

I did a bit of layering with this one using the cityscape as the background and then in the foreground gave my “coo” pigeons a brick wall to perch on. I also stamped some extra bricks and cut them in 1 inch segments to create a column on either side of the card. I raised the brick walls and the pigeons up with foam adhesive squares and added a little glossy accents to the pigeon dropping to make it look “fresh.” And of course they all need to sunglasses; they’re “coo” after all!!

I colored all my images with copic markers:
