Coffee Monster Mondays!

Coffee Monster Mondays!

Happy Monday everyone! I don't know about you but I'm a coffee feen and I NEED my first cup of coffee in the morning to start my day. Otherwise, I'll be pretty cranky or per this stamp set, turn into a monster!

Today's set focuses on the Coffee Monster set. There are four coffee monster images in this set and a handful of cute sentiments that go along with them.

I really wanted to use this set on black cardstock with colored pencils and the finished card turned out exactly how I imagined it in my head. The colored pencils really gave them some much needed texture. For this card, I imagined the one coffee monster busting through the card because he wants his coffee so much!

I had to use a stencil and distress oxide inks for the background. I didn't realize that the colors matched the monsters until I already added the ink, but a quick gray shading around the monsters really helped make them pop.

I generally love the look of colored pencils on black cardstock and I LOVE how this card came out. What do you think? Need to grab your morning coffee yet?

See you next time for another card!
