It's beginning to smell a lot like,...cute and simple slider card!

For this fun card, I started by cutting two paper panels that are 5 x 7 inches. The sliding panel measures 3.5 x 7 inches, adding an interactive touch. I used a craft knife to cut a rectangle in the lower right part of the card. The window measures 4 x 1 inches and is positioned ¾ inch from the short side and about 1 inch from the long edge.

The slider extends about 3 x 4 inches when fully pulled out. I scored it at the edge so that it can easily fold over to fit into a 5 x 7 envelope.

Next, I glued the front and back panels together with foam tape, leaving enough space for the slider to move in and out smoothly.

To make the card more interesting, I stamped the word "Christmas" so that it appears through the window when the slider is pulled out, hiding it when the slider is tucked away. The other sentiment is stamped above this window.

I glued a cute mouse at the end of the slider panel so it can move along with it. I also placed another mouse in a fixed position on the top panel. For the background, I kept it as simple as possible but I think it would be adorable to add details like distant trees or cozy cabins. However, I really love the simplicity of this design too!
